Process Engineering Specialist - Cell Manufacturing

Process Optimization:Lead the development and optimization of manufacturing processes for EV cells and battery packs to enhance efficiency, quality,and output.Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.Technology Integration:Evaluate and implement cutting-edge technologies and automation to improve manufacturing processes.Collaborate with R&D teams to integrate new technologies into production.Equipment Selection and Maintenance:Oversee the selection, installation, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimalequipment performance.Cross-functional Collaboration:Work closely with production, quality, and safety teams to ensure seamless coordination and collaboration.Collaborate with design and product development teams to align manufacturing processes with product specifications.Cost Management:Develop and manage budgets for process engineering projectsand initiatives.Identify cost-saving opportunities withoutcompromising quality or safety.Risk Management:Assess and mitigate risks associated with manufacturing processes– PFMEAs, Controland Reaction plans.Implement measuresto ensure compliance with safety standardsand regulatory requirements.Team Leadership:Build and lead a high-performing Manufacturing Process Engineering team.Providementorship, training, and development opportunities for team members.Role Specific Qualifications/CertificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.Minimum 18 years of experience in automotive industry or a tier 1 in manufacturing and manufacturing process engineering functions. A minimum of 5 years of experience as the lead of manufacturing process engineering team for the plant.A minimum of 3 years of experience in leading process/manufacturing engineering for a cell manufacturing company is must.Extensive experience in manufacturing processengineering, preferably in the automotiveor EV industry.Strong background in implementing lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.Knowledge of battery manufacturing processes and equipment.Familiarity with relevantsafety standards and regulations.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
