Senior Manager - R&D

We are partnering with a leading Company who is specializing in lubricants, mould-release agents, silicone surfactants and coatings. The position is Senior Manager - R&D Silicon Polymers. who will lead its research and development initiatives in silicon chemistry. The position will be based out of Nashik R&D Centre.For more interesting opportunitiesideal candidate will bring deep expertise in bothsynthesis and applicationof silicon-based materials and surfactants, along with a strong leadership mindset and proven experience in developing innovative coating and lubrication solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesLead R&D programs focused onSilicon Chemistry— includingsilicone emulsions, silicone oils, and surfactants . Drive innovation inprotective coatings and surface coating formulationsfor industrial and specialty applications. Oversee thedesign, synthesis, characterization, and performance evaluationof silicon-based polymers and related systems. Manage multipleR&D projects , ensuring timely execution and alignment with business goals. Collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality, and marketing teams for product scale-up and commercialization. Mentor and develop a team of scientists/chemists; foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot and optimize existing formulations and processes. Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and market developments in silicon and polymer chemistry. Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for management and external stakeholders.Qualifications & ExperiencePh.D. in Polymer Chemistry, Surfactant Chemistry, or related disciplineis mandatory. 15–20 years of industry experiencein R&D, preferably within lubricants, coatings, or specialty chemicals sectors. Proven expertise in bothsynthesis and applicationof silicon-based materials. Hands-on experience in developing formulations forprotective and surface coatings . Strongproject management and leadershipskills with ability to guide multidisciplinary teams.
