Manager - Design and Assembly

Experience:15 to 20 Years in Manufacturing IndustryI. Tooling Design & Setup: Assist in theDesign & Developmentoffixtures, tackles, gauges, and special toolsfor Assembly, Testing, Painting, Packing, and Fabrication shops. Establish new fastening toolsand assembly fixtures. Ensure proper system is in place forupdated wear part, fixture, special gauges drawingsand system documents. Process Strategy & NPI Support: Assist in establishing theFacility / Processfor new Release Application codes or modified component designs. Establish best process and practices throughmarket researchfor new tool implementation. DriveContinual improvementthrough Productivity and Quality improvement activities viaProcess Change Management . Vendor & Resource Management: LeadNew vendor developmentfor fixture spares, assembly tools, lifting tackles, and special gauges. ManageResource managementandcoordination with Cross Functional Teams (CFTs) . Prepareannual budgetof ATPP tools, fixtures, and spares.II. System Integration & Digital Data ManagementBOM & ERP Management: EnsureTimely release of E-BOM (Engineering)toM-BOM (Manufacturing)and verify the accuracy after release. Ensure implementation ofManufacturing BOM , assisting in creating new manufacturing groups and splitting of groups. Coordinate with AE and PPC forloose item definition in ERPandaccuracy in Packing reports . Documentation & Compliance: Knowledge and hands-on experience ofPLM (Product Lifecycle Management)for Manufacturing BOM and Engineering BOM management.III. Essential Skills & Competencies Category Required Knowledge & Skill A. Technical & Design Knowledge of GD&TandWork holding devices(jigs/fixtures).Knowledge of component and assembly drawing .Knowledge of machining process and costing , andsheet metal working and tooling .AutoCad, 3D software . B. Product Domain Knowledge ofAssembly, Testing, Painting and Packing process , preferably inEngine, Genset and Fabrication shop . Knowledge oftightening techniques and fastening tools . Knowledge ofEngine and Genset terminologyand their measurement methods. C. Quality & Systems Knowledge of systemsISO/TS, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, EHS, Kaizen/ 5S and lean manufacturing practices . Preferred knowledge of latestIOT enabled Tightening tools and technique . D. Digital & Analysis Hands-on experience ofManufacturing Module in Oracle(ERP).Proactive, innovative, analytical , withstrong business acumen . E.
