Job Title: Manager -Textile Department (Business Growth & Circular Operations)Location: Goregaon East, MumbaiCTC offered - 12 - 15lpaOverview: We are looking for a Manager – Textile Department to build, grow, and lead a new textile business vertical within the organization.This role carries entrepreneurial ownership of the textile department, with responsibility for driving revenue, expanding markets, building partnerships, and establishing scalable operations across the textile value chain.The role spans sales, operations, recovery, processing, recycler partnerships, and compliance, with responsibility for shaping both the commercial strategy and execution framework.The position functions as the Head of the Textile Department, with end-to-end ownership of business growth, commercial performance, expansion strategy, and execution of the textile vertical. Key Responsibilities: Revenue & Business Growth (Core Focus) • Drive revenue generation from recovered and processed textiles.• Develop and execute sales strategies for different textile grades and volumes.• Identify new buyers, recyclers, and commercial partners.• Own pricing, negotiations, and commercial closures.• Build a sustainable revenue pipeline for the textile vertical.Department Expansion & Scale-Up • Lead the expansion of the textile department, including capacity enhancement, new partnerships & markets and geographic or operational scale-up• Evaluate new business opportunities in textile recycling, reuse, and upcycling.• Build business cases and implementation plans for expansion initiatives.Operations & Recovery Oversight • Oversee textile recovery operations across collection, segregation, sorting, baling, and dispatch.• Ensure TRF output quality, productivity, and readiness for sales.• Improve recovery yield, turnaround time, and material value through process optimization.Partner & Ecosystem Management • Build and manage relationships with:✓ Textile recyclers and processors✓ Buyers, aggregators, and logistics partners✓ Brands, NGOs, and sustainability stakeholders• Position the company as a reliable partner in the textile circular ecosystem.Compliance & Reporting • Ensure compliance with EPR, textile waste regulations, and sustainability requirements. • Maintain accurate data on recovery, sales, and recycling.Team & Capability Building • Build and guide a small, high-impact textile team over time.• Work closely with supervisors and cross-functional teams.• Set performance expectations and execution priorities.Required Skills & Competencies • 3–5 years of experience in business operations, sustainability, recycling, waste management, or related sectors.• Experience in revenue generation, sales, partnerships, or business expansion is essential.• Textile domain knowledge is an added advantage• Experience building or scaling a new function or business line is highly preferred.• Strong commercial and negotiation skills.• Ownership mindset with ability to build a department from the ground up.• Ability to balance sales targets with operational execution.• Comfortable working in lean, evolving environments.
