Workshop Manager

Position : Works Manager Department : Service Location : Nashik / Nagpur Reports to : General Manager – Service Role Overview The Works Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the service workshop, ensuring high-quality repairs, timely vehicle delivery, customer satisfaction, and compliance with Maruti Suzuki service standards. Key Responsibilities Workshop Operations Plan, organize, and control the overall service operations. Allocate jobs to technicians and monitor progress to ensure timely delivery. Ensure availability of required tools, equipment, and infrastructure for smooth operations. Quality & Productivity Ensure adherence to Maruti Suzuki service quality standards. Monitor and improve workshop productivity and efficiency. Conduct regular quality checks on completed jobs before delivery. Customer Satisfaction Handle escalated customer complaints and provide quick resolutions. Maintain high CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) scores. Ensure transparent communication with customers regarding repairs and costs. Team Management Lead, train, and motivate service advisors, technicians, and support staff. Conduct regular performance reviews and technical training sessions. Reporting & Compliance Maintain and share daily, weekly, and monthly service performance reports. Ensure compliance with Maruti Suzuki policies, processes, and statutory regulations. Key Skills & Competencies Strong technical knowledge of Maruti Suzuki vehicles and systems. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle high-pressure situations and meet deadlines. Knowledge of DMS (Dealer Management System) and MS Office. Qualifications & Experience Diploma / Degree in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 5–8 years of experience in an automobile dealership service department, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Prior Maruti Suzuki experience preferred.
