This role is ideal for a senior professional with strong leadership, commercial acumen, and deep technical understanding of steel/engineering procurement.Key Responsibilities- Lead the procurement function and ensure alignment with project timelines and organizational requirements. - Drive procurement strategy, cost optimization, and supplier performance management. - Approve procurement plans, RFQs, comparative statements, and vendor finalization. - Oversee technical and commercial evaluation of bids in collaboration with engineering and project teams. - Lead contract negotiations, vendor development, and long-term sourcing strategies. - Ensure compliance with procurement policies, quality standards, and contract terms. - Monitor high-value purchases, delivery schedules, delays, and risk mitigation. - Mentor and guide the procurement team (Managers, Engineers, Executives). - Coordinate with Accounts for timely payments and vendor issue resolution. - Prepare and present weekly/monthly MIS, dashboards, and procurement status reports to management.Desired Candidate Profile- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering). - Above 8 years of experience in procurement (Steel Manufacturing industry preferred). - Strong experience in contracts, commercial negotiations, and high-value sourcing. - Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and MS Office. - Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.Offered CTC: 12-25LPAJob Type: Full-timeApply: Send your resume to career.steel@ with the subject line: “Application for AGM/DGM – Procurement”.2.
