Job Description:
A General Manager of Plant Finance and Accounts ( from the Manufacturing Industry) should: Responsibilities: Lead a plant's financial operations, encompassing financial planning, budgeting, accounting, internal controls, and compliance with local and international regulations and standards. Key responsibilities: cost efficiency, financial reporting, managing the finance and accounting team, and serving as a finance business partner to the Plant Head by providing strategic financial insights and recommendations to improve overall plant performance. Financial Planning & Analysis: Manage and oversee budgeting, forecasting, and the financial planning process to drive strategic decisions. Accounting and Reporting: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and the preparation of timely and insightful financial reports for management. Compliance & Internal Controls: Establish and maintain robust internal controls and ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, corporate policies, and internal SOPs. Cost Management & Efficiency: Lead initiatives to optimize financial operations, enhance cost efficiency, and provide financial analysis for plant costs and variances to identify opportunities for improvement. Team Leadership: Build, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team within the plant, fostering adherence to standards and high performance. Risk Management: Identify and manage financial risks and act as a custodian of the organization's risk register. Stakeholder & Auditor Relations: Coordinate with auditors, manage audit processes, and provide financial information and insights to senior management, stakeholders, and the plant head. Business Partnership: Serve as a finance business partner to the Plant Head, providing financial guidance and support for improving plant performance and achieving operational goals. Requirements: Chartered Accountant and very proficient in SAP/HANA 4.0 or above with a minimum of 18 years of experience in managing large plant finance & accounting.
