We are proud to have trained and certified over 400,000 information security professionals globally that have influenced the cyber security mindset of countless organizations worldwide.Role OverviewEC-Council is looking for a Community & Events Leader to build and scale the Global CISO Council ecosystem through high-impact engagement programs, global chapters, and industry-led events.This role is focused on community building, engagement, and program execution, with an emphasis on creating meaningful experiences for cybersecurity professionals globally.The ideal candidate will come from cybersecurity, tech communities, media, or event-led ecosystems, with hands-on experience in building and managing engaged communities and large-scale events.Key ResponsibilitiesGlobal Community & Chapters Development (30%)Build and scale regional and global community chapters for the Global CISO CouncilDrive engagement programs including knowledge sessions, roundtables, and peer forumsWork closely with CISOs, security leaders, and practitioners to foster an active communityDevelop community playbooks, engagement models, and governance frameworksTrack community health metrics: engagement, participation, retentionGlobal Events & Engagement (70%)Plan and execute global and regional events (virtual & in-person): Roundtables, Leadership forums, Summits & meetupsOwn end-to-end event lifecycle: concept → speaker onboarding → execution → feedbackCollaborate with internal teams and external agencies for seamless deliveryEnsure events drive community engagement and thought leadershipSponsorships & Revenue OwnershipDrive sponsorship acquisition for events and community initiativesBuild and manage commercial models and P&L for eventsIdentify monetization opportunities across chapters, partnerships, and eventsPartnership & Ecosystem Management (NPO-style)Build relationships with:Cybersecurity leaders (CISOs, practitioners)Industry bodies and associationsCommunity partners and institutionsEnable collaborations, co-hosted events, and knowledge initiativesSupport partner engagement across the community lifecycleOperations & Partner SupportSet up and manage operational processes for partner and chapter supportEnsure smooth coordination between internal teams, partners, and external vendorsMaintain dashboards, reporting structures, and execution timelinesAct as a central SPOC for ecosystem operationsRequired Experience8–14 years of experience in:Experience in launching or scaling chapters, communities, or networks (global preferred)Strong exposure to sponsorships, event P&L, and partner-driven revenue modelsExperience working in NPOs, associations, or community-led organizations is a plus (not mandatory)Proven ability to manage cross-border stakeholdersKey SkillsPartnership & stakeholder managementGlobal community & chapter buildingEvent strategy & executionSponsorship sales & commercial acumenOperational excellence & program managementStrong communication & influencing skillsAbout Our Culture:EC-Council is driven by a mission to strengthen global cybersecurity capability and advance the profession of ethical hacking and information security.
