Position Title: AV TechnicianLocation: MumbaiReports To: Facility ManagerRole OverviewThe AV Technician is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining audio-visual systems for events, programming, and daily club operations. This role supports live performances, talks, screenings, DJ nights, private events, and hybrid experiences, ensuring everything runs smoothly without drawing attention to the tech itself.You’ll work closely with Programming, Events, F&B, and external vendors to deliver seamless experiences in a hospitality-led environment.Key ResponsibilitiesEvent & Programming SupportSet up, operate, and dismantle AV equipment for live events, performances, screenings, talks, workshops, and private hiresHandle sound, microphones, mixers, speakers, projectors, screens, basic lighting, and playback systemsSupport DJs, performers, speakers, and facilitators with technical requirements before and during eventsBe on-ground during events to troubleshoot issues in real timeDaily OperationsEnsure all AV systems in member areas, event spaces, and meeting rooms are functional at all timesConduct pre-event checks and sound checks as requiredMaintain consistent sound levels aligned with hospitality and member comfort standardsEquipment & MaintenanceMaintain inventory of AV equipment, cables, mics, mixers, and accessoriesCoordinate basic repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenanceEnsure safe handling, storage, and usage of all AV equipmentCoordination & CommunicationCoordinate with external AV vendors when larger setups are requiredWork closely with Events, Programming, and Operations teams on timelines and technical needsCommunicate clearly with performers and internal teams in a calm, service-oriented mannerCompliance & SafetyFollow electrical safety norms and basic sound regulationsEnsure setups do not obstruct guest movement or compromise safetySkills & Experience2–4 years of hands-on experience in AV operations, preferably in hospitality, clubs, live events, studios, or performance venuesStrong understanding of sound systems, microphones, mixers, and basic lightingComfortable working during evenings, weekends, and event-heavy daysAbility to troubleshoot quickly under pressureService mindset with an eye for detailPreferred QualificationsExperience working with live bands, DJs, performers, or spoken-word eventsFamiliarity with hospitality or member-focused environmentsBasic knowledge of hybrid or recorded setups is a plus
