Role DescriptionThis is role for a seafarer job as Chief Officer specialising in cement carriers for one of our overseas shipowner clients. We require experienced Chief Officers for immediate placement on Panama flag self-discharging cement carriers on international trade. Experience on pneumatic hybrid or mechanised self-discharging vessels preferred. Candidates from conventional cement carriers or self-discharging bulk carriers with strong cargo background will also be considered.The Chief Officer will oversee vessel operations, cargo handling, and navigation to ensure the safe and efficient transportation of cement. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance withmaritime regulations, supervising crew operations, preparing work schedules, coordinating with port authorities, and maintaining operational and safety standards onboard the vessel.Vessel DWT 9000 MT approx. Contract Period 4 months.Wages 7000-7500 USD per month. Joining in May. QualificationsProficiency in navigation, ship handling, and cargo operations specific to cement carriersStrong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and coordinate crew membersIn-depth knowledge of international maritime regulations, including STCW-2010 and MLC 2006 standardsCoC Chief Mate / OOW Management Level — STCW II/2Minimum 1 year as Chief Officer — cement carrier preferredValid STCW certificatesExperience in monitoring and ensuring vessel safety, security, and operational efficiencyValid Chief Officer license and medical fitness certificationFamiliarity with cargo documentation, port operations, and interaction with regulatory authoritiesProven track record of experience on self-discharging cement carriers or similar vesselsProblem-solving abilities and decision-making under challenging conditionsFlexibility and adaptability to perform duties on long voyages
