Regional Head – Air & Ocean Freight (West India) Location: Mumbai Experience: 12–18 years | Industry: Freight Forwarding / Logistics Reports To: National Product Head – Air & Ocean Team Size: 4–5 Direct Reports | ~150 Overall About the Role We are seeking a dynamic and experienced logistics professional to lead the Air & Ocean Freight operations for the Western Region . The incumbent will be responsible for driving the business’s P&L , ensuring operational excellence, and leading a large cross-functional team to achieve sustainable growth across air exports, imports, and cross-trade lanes. Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage end-to-end Air & Ocean freight operations for the western region. Drive profitability and P&L performance , ensuring revenue and margin targets are achieved. Collaborate with sales, pricing, and global operations teams to deliver seamless customer solutions. Lead, mentor, and motivate regional teams to ensure high operational performance and service quality. Implement process improvements, digital tools, and cost-optimization strategies to enhance efficiency. Manage relationships with customers, carriers, and vendors to support business growth. Ensure adherence to company policies, ISO standards, and all statutory / trade compliance requirements. Provide data-driven insights through MIS reports, KPIs, and performance dashboards . Ideal Candidate Profile 12–18 years of experience in freight forwarding / logistics , with proven exposure to Air & Ocean Freight along with MNC company exposure. Prior experience in P&L management or leading a regional product vertical is essential. Strong understanding of international trade, customs compliance, and carrier negotiations . Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into business decisions. Graduate in any discipline (MBA / PG in Logistics or Supply Chain preferred).
