Job Title: Junior Interior Stylist Department: Studio December (B2B Styling & Sourcing) Location: Mumbai Reports To: Founder About Hello December Hello December is building India’s most design-forward homeware and styling ecosystem — merging the artistry of Indian craftsmanship with global aesthetics. Through Studio December , we execute interior styling and sourcing projects for hospitality, real estate, and premium residential clients — curating complete styled spaces with furniture, lighting, art, décor, and textiles. We believe styling is not an afterthought — it’s what makes a space soulful, layered, and alive. Role Overview The Junior Interior Stylist executes interior styling projects end-to-end — from concept development and product sourcing to on-site styling and final setup. You’ll assist the founder in translating design concepts into real, tangible spaces that embody the Hello December aesthetic — bold, cultural, and globally inspired. Key Responsibilities 1. Styling & Concept Execution • Assist in styling residential, hospitality, and retail projects under guidance of the founder • Support moodboard creation, layout planning, and product curation aligned to the project concept. • Prepare sample boards for materials, finishes, and décor selections. • Work on visual composition of spaces — layering furniture, lighting, textiles, and accessories. 2. Sourcing & Procurement Coordination • Identify and coordinate with vendors for furniture, décor, and soft furnishings. • Maintain vendor lists, product catalogues, and pricing sheets for sourcing reference. • Track procurement timelines and deliveries in coordination with the logistics team. • Ensure selected items meet project specifications, budget, and quality standards. 3. Site Styling & Installation • Assist in on-site styling, product placement, and final visual merchandising during handover. • Coordinate with on-ground teams for setup, unboxing, and finishing touches. • Handle styling inventory — tagging, movement tracking, and final documentation. 4. Design Documentation & Reporting • Maintain styling trackers, product lists, and before-after documentation for each project. • Assist in preparing presentations for clients — styling proposals, concept decks, and lookbooks. • Support the team in ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met. 5. Client & Team Coordination • Join client visits and review meetings as required. • Work collaboratively with stylists, architects, procurement, QC, and logistics teams. • Communicate effectively with vendors, clients, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution. Key Skills & Attributes • Strong eye for design, color, and spatial balance. • Understanding of furniture, décor, lighting, and materials. • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Canva, Google Sheets (SketchUp/AutoCAD basics is a plus). • Excellent organizational skills and time management. • Proactive, resourceful, and detail-oriented with a can-do attitude. Preferred Experience • 1–3 years of experience in styling, interior design, or décor merchandising. • Experience working in home décor, furniture, or design studios preferred. • Background in Interior Design, Spatial Design, or Fine Arts.
