We operate globally as we continue to expand our overseas operations as our business reputation grows.Role Description This is a full-time/Part -Time role located in Mumbai for a Marine Engine Technician. The Engine Technician will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various types of engines such as MAN, Caterpillar, Yanmar, etc. The technician will be required to go on board ships/vessels and conduct regular inspections, diagnose issues, and perform necessary repairs to ensure optimal engine performance. Routine tasks include testing engine functionality, replacing worn-out parts, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. The technician will also document all maintenance activities and reports.Requirements for Job: Experience with Marine engine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs & overhaul. Test engine and equipment operation using test equipment such as infrared engine analyzers, compression gauges, and computerized diagnostic devices. Strong understanding of mechanical systems and engine components Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment Proficient in reading technical manuals and schematics Ability to work as part of a team and reporting to supervisorExperience & Certification: 3-4 years' experience in similar companies for e.g. Goltens, RASTEK, GMMCO will be preferred. Extensive knowledge of marine engines, both diesel and outboard. Relevant certifications or technical training in ship engine repair/maintenance. Personnel with valid Indian Seaman Book are preferable. STCW courses. Valid MedicalsEmployment: Long Term employment with extensive travel wherever required as required by company. Salary offered is better or on par with industry standard, the same shall depend upon the interview. Onboard allowance paid over and above monthly salary. Insurance cover. 5 days working while on land, however, will depend on work requirement.
