ROLE OVERVIEWAs a Manager in the Solution Design - Services team, you will be one of the key leaders anchoring the India node of our global pursuit operation. You will own and co-lead the full pursuit lifecycle — from building the solution with subject matter experts to closing the deal commercially. This is not a support role; you will be expected to drive the process, exercise independent judgment, and bring analytical rigor to every engagement.Success in this role requires the ability to think structurally and analytically about complex business problems, translate that thinking into clear and persuasive commercial narratives, and manage diverse senior stakeholders across geographies. You will also mentor and develop a team of consultants and senior consultants, building both their technical and commercial acumen.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESA. Solution Architecture & Proposal DevelopmentLead the design of customized solutions in response to RFPs/RFIs from global enterprises seeking procurement and supply chain managed services.Break down complex client requirements into structured solution components, clearly mapping client pain points to GEP capabilities.Collaborate with delivery leads, domain SMEs, and technology teams to validate solution assumptions and ensure operational feasibility.Coordinate across time zones (US, UK, India nodes) to manage pursuit timelines and global team inputs.Contribute to internal capability building - frameworks, templates, pricing tools, and reusable solution components.Develop high-quality, insight-driven pitch decks and written proposals that communicate solution value to CXO and VP-level audiences.Ensure all proposals reflect a deep understanding of the client's industry, business model, and procurement/supply chain maturity.B. Commercial & Pricing StrategyOwn the end-to-end pricing model for each pursuit, including FTE sizing, cost modeling, and margin analysis.Define the commercial strategy in collaboration with senior leadership — balancing competitiveness with profitability.Lead renegotiation rounds, handling client pushback on pricing or scope with data-backed arguments and creative deal structuring.Maintain a clear view of competitive positioning and market benchmarks to inform commercial decisions.C. Client Engagement & Stakeholder ManagementSupport client-facing interactions during the pursuit phase - including clarification calls, solution walkthroughs, and oral presentations.Engage senior client stakeholders (VPs, CPOs, CXOs) with confidence, anticipating objections and tailoring messaging appropriately.D. Team Leadership & MentoringCo-lead and manage a team of consultants and senior consultants in India, driving individual accountability and team output quality.Set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and create development opportunities for team members.Review and quality-check all proposal output produced by the team, ensuring analytical rigor, clarity, and commercial soundness.Contribute to team capability building through structured knowledge-sharing and pursuit post-mortems.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORCore RequirementsMBA from a Tier 1 or 2 institute5+ years of relevant work experience in management consulting, solution design, pre-sales, or procurement/supply chain advisoryStrong background in business problem-solving and structured analytical thinking - ability to synthesize ambiguous information into clear, actionable frameworksDemonstrated experience working on client-facing proposals, pitches, or RFP/RFI responsesExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to craft executive-level narrativesComfort with data analysis and financial modeling (cost models, pricing, commercial structuring)Preferred BackgroundPrior experience in Operating Model design, EBITDA improvement, procurement BPO, supply chain outsourcing, or managed servicesBusiness development or commercial deal support experience in a consulting or services environmentExposure to global client engagements and cross-cultural team collaboration
