Role: Senior Area Sales ExecutiveExperience : 5-10 yearsLocation (HQ) - Mumbai, MHSegment : Pet NutritionRole OverviewWe are looking for a dynamic and polished Senior Area Sales Executive for the Mumbai market to drive business in our Pet Nutrition segment. The selected candidate will lead sales and distribution operations across General Trade (GT) and Specialized Pet Trade (SPT) channels. This is a team management role, requiring strong leadership, operational excellence, and key account handling capabilities.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage a team of Direct Sales Representatives (DSRs) and third-party payroll staff to drive business objectives.Oversee sales operations and distribution management, ensuring effective coverage and execution through distributors.Handle and grow large volume key accounts including:General trade storesPet shop chainsVeterinary doctorsBreedersBuild strong relationships with channel partners and ensure consistent business growth.Drive customer onboarding, engagement, and retention initiatives.Monitor and improve lead indicators, sales performance metrics, and team productivity.Resolve conflicts, manage escalations, and maintain smooth operational flow across the territory.Execute trade marketing and visibility initiatives within the assigned geography.Candidate Profile:Strong background in General Trade (GT) is mandatory; exposure to Specialized Pet Trade (SPT) is highly preferred.Proven experience in Key Account Management within GT markets.Demonstrated ability to manage teams and deliver results through field sales execution.Excellent negotiation, communication, and conflict management skills.Ability to influence stakeholders and build long-term business relationships.Highly polished, articulate, and fluent in communication (verbal and written).Eligibility Criteria:Education: MBA (Mandatory)Experience: Relevant experience in GT sales and distribution, with team handling exposureAge: Below 35 years preferredTerritory Exposure: Mumbai or Pune is requiredPreferred Traits:Strong leadership and ownership mindsetHigh energy with execution focusAbility to work in a fast-paced, competitive environmentCustomer-centric approach with commercial acumen
