Job Description:
To drive business growth by identifying, developing, and managing sales opportunities within government and public sector accounts through partnerships with System Integrators (SIs). The role involves developing strategic relationships, managing bids and tenders, and ensuring revenue achievement in line with organizational objectives.Key Responsibilities:- Identify and engage with key Government , OEMs, and consultants to generate business opportunities. - Drive end-to-end sales processes including lead generation, proposal preparation, pricing, negotiation, and closure. - Work closely with the pre-sales and technical teams to design customized solutions as per government RFPs and tenders. - Monitor and track government projects, tenders, and empanelment opportunities through GeM, NIC, and eProcurement portals. - Build strong relationships with key decision-makers in ministries, PSUs, and government departments. - Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to overall business growth in the government vertical. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams for bid management, documentation, and compliance submissions. - Maintain updated knowledge of government policies, procurement guidelines, and IT infrastructure initiatives. - Provide regular reports on business performance, pipeline, and competitor activities.Key Skills & Competencies:- Strong understanding of Government procurement and tendering processes. - Excellent networking and relationship management skills. - Proven experience in handling Government and PSU accounts. - Knowledge of ICT / IT Infrastructure / Cloud / Networking / Security solutions preferred. - Strategic thinking with strong business acumen. - Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.Qualifications & Experience:- Graduate in Engineering / IT / Electronics or equivalent. MBA preferred. - 5–10 years of experience in Business Development / Sales in the Government vertical, preferably with System Integrators or OEMs. - Proven track record of achieving sales targets in large and complex government projects.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):- Revenue achievement vs. target. - Number of new government accounts/SI partnerships developed. - Conversion rate of tenders/proposals. - Customer satisfaction and retention. - Pipeline health and forecasting accuracy.
