Salary: Generous - looking for the right skillset and experienceLocation: MumbaiOverview:A globally admired consumer brand with a strong heritage is looking for a commercially driven E-Commerce Manager to lead and expand its direct-to-consumer presence in India. This role offers a unique opportunity to take ownership of how the brand grows online in a high-potential market, with real scope to influence strategy, execution, and results.You will act as the local e-commerce lead for India, shaping the online trading model while partnering closely with international teams. The focus is on scaling revenue, opening new digital channels, and translating existing brand strength into sustained e-commerce growth.This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys entering new markets, testing ideas quickly, and building an e-commerce operation that can scale over time.Duties and Responsibilities:Define and execute the overall e-commerce growth strategy for India, covering acquisition, conversion, retention, and loyalty.Own and manage the Indian Shopify store, including product setup, merchandising, pricing changes, promotional activity, and localisation of content.Continuously improve the customer journey with a strong emphasis on mobile experience, site performance, navigation, and checkout optimisation.Plan and deliver integrated digital marketing campaigns across channels such as email, WhatsApp, social media, YouTube, influencers, affiliates, and paid media (working with partners where required).Use Salesforce Marketing Cloud to design and optimise CRM and lifecycle activity, including automated journeys, segmentation, and personalised messaging.Identify, test, and scale additional revenue channels such as marketplaces, influencer partnerships, and conversational commerce.Track performance using GA4, Shopify Analytics, and reporting dashboards, and convert insights into structured optimisation and experimentation plans.Lead conversion rate optimisation initiatives, including A/B testing of landing pages, product detail pages, and checkout flows.Collaborate closely with fulfilment and customer support teams to ensure a smooth post-purchase experience and resolve issues efficiently.Work with global and regional stakeholders to maintain brand consistency while tailoring execution to Indian consumer behaviour and market dynamics.Build clear, data-driven business cases for new initiatives, features, and channel investments to inform prioritisation decisions.Prepare and present regular performance updates covering traffic, conversion, revenue, channel effectiveness, and campaign results.Stay informed on Indian e-commerce trends, platforms, and payment preferences (including UPI, wallets, and COD) and integrate learnings into ongoing strategy.Foster a test-and-learn mindset, bringing new ideas to the table and taking ownership of outcomes.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Digital Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.4–6 years’ experience in e-commerce or digital marketing, ideally within a D2C or consumer-focused environment.Hands-on experience managing a Shopify (or similar) platform, including merchandising, promotions, and content updates.Demonstrated success in growing online revenue and improving conversion through digital channels.Experience using Salesforce Marketing Cloud or a comparable enterprise marketing automation or CRM platform.Strong entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable owning outcomes, experimenting with new approaches, and building capability from scratch.Solid understanding of the Indian e-commerce landscape, including mobile-first journeys and local payment methods.Confidence working with analytics tools such as GA4 and Shopify Analytics, with the ability to translate data into clear actions.Strong stakeholder management skills and experience collaborating across teams and time zones.Ability to operate effectively as both a strategic thinker and a hands-on executor in a fast-paced environment.Please note: Due to the high volume of applications, only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
