This role is critical in supporting both the commercial and operational functions by managing a high volume of air, sea and domestic shipping requests.The ideal candidate will be responsible for securing competitive rates, responding to client RFQs, and developing strategic pricing solutions that align with our business objectives. The primary focus is to maintain and grow Pentagon’s market share within the GCC region by delivering timely, strategic, and commercially sound pricing proposals for both standard and non-standard cargo.Job Description ·Effectively manage a high volume of air, sea, and domestic shipping requests. ·Respond to client RFQs with clear and concise verbal and written communication to ensure accurate pricing as per client requirements. ·Secure air, sea, and domestic rates locally and overseas to meet client demands. ·Coordinate responses to client requests with rates received, ensuring maximum commercial return for Pentagon Group. ·Create pricing solutions for new business opportunities, utilizing financial models and optimization tools. ·Ensure maximum win ratio percentages to support annual growth targets for Pentagon Group. ·Update and maintain quotations in the rate software application CW1. ·Analyze customer data to develop a deep understanding of shipment profiles and service needs. ·Develop efficient distribution solutions aligned with carrier partner network capabilities. ·Maintain customer and vendor pricing information accurately. ·Assist with research and data analysis in support of client and management requirements. ·Perform other office-related duties as required within the Pricing and Operations departments, with guidance and support as needed.What we're Looking for: ·2–5 years of experience in freight forwarding and commercial logistics. ·Strong knowledge of air, sea, and domestic freight operations ·Experience in responding to RFQs and creating competitive pricing solutions ·Proficient in freight rate procurement from both local and overseas vendors ·Familiarity with rate management software, ideally Cargo-Wise One (CW1) ·Strong numerical and analytical skills to interpret customer data and shipping trends ·Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment ·Excellent verbal and written communication skills ·A proactive, commercially minded individual who strives to maximize profitability ·Team player with a flexible approach and strong attention to detail.
