Role : Senior Legal Professional -IPRQualification : LL.B / LL.MLocation : AndheriExperience : 10 to 15 years ( Media / Entertainment / Digital Content)Job Description :We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Professional with strong expertise in Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) to support and lead legal functions for a media-focused organization. The role requires deep understanding of media laws, content licensing, copyright management, and regulatory compliance within the media and entertainment ecosystem.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage all legal and IPR matters related to media content, broadcasting, publishing, and digital platformsHandle copyright, trademark, licensing, assignments, and infringement mattersDraft, review, and negotiate agreements including:Content acquisition & licensing agreementsTalent, artist, influencer, and production agreementsDistribution, syndication, and platform agreementsNDAs, MOUs, and vendor contractsAdvise internal stakeholders on IP protection strategies and risk mitigationManage IP portfolio, registrations, renewals, and oppositionsHandle disputes, notices, and litigation related to IPR and media laws (with external counsels)Ensure compliance with media laws, IT Act, Copyright Act, Trademarks Act, and other applicable regulationsLiaise with regulatory bodies, legal advisors, and enforcement agenciesSupport business teams in deal structuring from a legal and commercial perspectiveKeep abreast of legal developments in media, digital content, and IP lawsKey RequirementsLL.B / LL.M from a recognized university10–15 years of post-qualification experience, preferably from media, entertainment, broadcasting, OTT, or digital content companiesStrong hands-on experience in IPR (Copyright & Trademarks mandatory)Proven experience in contract drafting, negotiations, and licensingExposure to litigation management and regulatory advisoryAbility to work independently and lead legal matters end-to-endStrong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
