Production Manager

We are looking for a results-driven Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations and drive operational excellence. This role is responsible for ensuring seamless production flow, achieving OTIF targets, optimizing cost and productivity, and building high-performing shopfloor teams in a fast-paced jewelry manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities1. Production Delivery & PlanningDrive daily production in line with targets, timelines, and OTIF commitmentsEnsure smooth coordination across Planning, Maintenance, and Quality teamsProactively manage bottlenecks to maintain uninterrupted production flow2. Operational Excellence & Cost EfficiencyImprove productivity, capacity utilization, and cost per gramLead continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, waste reduction)Monitor key metrics such as OTIF, uptime, and efficiency3. Team Leadership & Workforce OptimizationLead and develop supervisors, line leaders, and operatorsDrive manpower optimization and multi-skilling across teamsBuild a performance-driven and disciplined shopfloor culture4. Quality & ComplianceEnsure adherence to SOPs, safety standards, and statutory complianceDrive First-Time-Right (FTR) and reduce rework/rejectionsPartner with Quality team to maintain product consistency5. Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with Planning, HR, Maintenance, and Logistics teamsAlign production capabilities with business requirements and delivery commitments6. Data-Driven Performance ManagementTrack and analyze production data, efficiency, and downtimePresent actionable insights and reports to managementLeverage ERP systems for real-time monitoring and decision-making7. Health, Safety & Workplace StandardsDrive 5S and maintain high safety standards across the facilityPromote a zero-incident, safety-first cultureQualifications & ExperienceB tech or B E in any engineering Stream6–10 years of experience in production/manufacturing, preferably in jewelry or precision industriesProven experience in managing shopfloor operations and delivering production targetsBachelor’s/Diploma in Engineering, Production, Mechanical, or Jewelry ManufacturingLean / Six Sigma certification (preferred)
