Job Title: Manager – Base MetalsFunction: Product Management/Business Development – Base Metals Location: Mumbai Job SummaryWe are looking for a dynamic professional to manage and grow the Base Metals segment. The role involves product development, market research, stakeholder engagement, regulatory coordination, and driving participation and liquidity across existing and new contracts.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Development & Market ResearchIdentify, evaluate, and launch new products under the Base Metals segment.Conduct primary research with industry participants to assess product viability and price discovery potential.Gather continuous market feedback on existing contracts and recommend modifications to improve acceptance and liquidity.Track national and international commodity exchanges for relevant product and market developments.Market Development & ParticipationBuild and maintain long-term relationships with industry participants, corporates, traders, and trade associations.Increase market participation and trading volumes in existing base metal contracts.Actively engage with members and market participants to understand evolving industry needs.Knowledge Sharing & TrainingConduct seminars, webinars, and workshops to educate members, corporates, and associations on:Product features and contract specificationsTrading strategiesMarket trends and best practicesOperations & Regulatory CoordinationDevelop a strong understanding of warehousing operations, logistics, and tax implications related to base metals.Maintain and manage all documentation related to product groups in a structured and systematic manner.Ensure timely preparation and submission of reports and documentation required by regulators.Coordinate with internal teams (IT, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Marketing) for:Improving existing contractsLaunching new productsEnhancing system-based tracking of routine business activitiesMarketing & PromotionPrepare and regularly update promotional material including:Website contentPresentations (PPTs)Brochures and other marketing collateral
