Job Description:
A leading consumer products manufacturer is hiring Legal Manager for their Mumbai office.Kindly note: Only candidates with experience in LISTED and MANUFACTURING companies will be considered.Roles & Responsibilities: Structure, negotiate, and close complex commercial agreements (including SLAs, supply and purchase contracts) ensuring alignment with business objectives and risk frameworks. Prepare and formalize legal instruments such as LOIs, MOUs, affidavits, and indemnities with a forward-looking approach to mitigate potential risks. Draft and review legal notices and responses with clarity and precision, ensuring effective articulation of the organization’s position. Establish and maintain a structured and efficient agreement repository to enable easy access, compliance tracking, and governance. Drive end-to-end contract lifecycle management (CLM), including contract tracking, renewals, and compliance oversight to ensure effective governance across all agreements. Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders by addressing legal queries with practical, solution-oriented guidance. Collaborate with external counsels, legal experts, and regulatory authorities to drive favourable outcomes in legal matters. Support litigation management by preparing case briefs, documentation, and coordinating effectively with legal advisors. Manage disputes involving customers, vendors, and third parties by applying sound judgment and resolution strategies. Provide advisory on regulatory frameworks, ethical practices, and compliance requirements, including legal metrology laws related across business operations. Drive brand protection initiatives by supporting intellectual property rights (IPR), including trademarks and related enforcement, and contributing to legally sound business expansion efforts.RequirementsQualifications: LLM/ LLB (CS Preferred)8-10 yrs experience, preferably managing a small team.From Listed Manufacturing company only - with relevant legal exposure.Experience in litigation and non-litigation matters.Knowledge of legal metrology and IPR (trademarks, compliance).Team handling and stakeholder management experience
