About the RoleWe are looking for a Legal Counsel to join a dynamic in-house legal team supporting a global financial services organization. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders across trading, technology, finance, and operations, providing practical legal advice while managing a wide range of commercial and corporate legal matters.This role is ideal for a lawyer who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants exposure to complex commercial agreements and broader in-house legal responsibilities.ResponsibilitiesProvide legal support to internal business teams on a variety of commercial and operational mattersDraft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial and transactional agreementsPartner with internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate legal and regulatory risksCollaborate with other in-house counsel and external law firms on specialized legal matters when requiredSupport the business in managing compliance, governance, and legal risk management processesAssist with the development and implementation of internal legal policies and best practicesQualificationsJuris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent law degreeQualified and admitted to practice with any United States State BarMinimum 5+ years of legal experience, preferably within a law firm or in-house environmentStrong experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreementsExcellent legal research, analytical, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced business environmentPreferred SkillsCommercial contractingTransactional legal servicesContract drafting and negotiationLegal writing and analysisRisk and compliance managementCross-functional stakeholder collaboration
