Aquis Search has partnered with a global financial services organization, in their search for a Commercial Legal Counsel to join its in-house legal team in Mumbai.This role is ideal for a lawyer with 5-7 years’ PQE in commercial contracting who enjoys working closely with the business and handling a broad spectrum of in-house legal matters. The position offers exposure across technology, trading, finance, HR, and general corporate advisory, with a strong emphasis on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial arrangements.Key ResponsibilitiesDraft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including technology, consulting, and finance-related agreementsIdentify contractual risks and provide practical, business-focused mitigation strategiesSupport the development and improvement of internal policies and proceduresAssist on general in-house matters including corporate governance, privacy, and employment lawKey RequirementsLL.B (LL.M preferred) from a recognized law school5+ years of experience across both in a law firm or in-house role, or in a law firm (financial services exposure preferred)Strong commercial mindset with a pragmatic, solutions-driven approachExcellent communication skills and ability to operate in a fast-paced environmentIf you are interested in exploring this opportunity, please apply directly or drop a line on aditisidana@ for a confidential discussion.
