Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:Legal Documentation & Advisory:- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal documents, including legal notices, complaints, loan agreements, and ancillary legal documents. - Provide strategic legal advice on business operations, regulatory compliance, and contractual matters.Litigation & Dispute Management:- Oversee and manage the organization’s litigation portfolio, ensuring timely resolution of cases. - Develop and implement strategies for effective dispute resolution, including settlements, arbitrations, and court proceedings. - Coordinate with empaneled legal resources and manage external counsel for litigation and recovery processes.Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management:- Ensure organizational compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, particularly in the NBFC and renewable energy domains. - Develop and implement policies to align the organization with evolving RBI guidelines, including KYC/AML compliance, capital adequacy, and reporting requirements.Recovery & Asset Management:- Advise the recovery team on legal procedures for asset possession and debt recovery within the legal frameworks prescribed by the RBI. - Handle legal proceedings related to case filings, summons, warrants, and arbitrations. - Support recovery efforts by providing legal insights on settlement strategies and compliance.Policy Development & Strategic Initiatives:- Lead the development and standardization of legal and operational policies in alignment with NBFC and RBI regulations. - Standardize processes related to legal filings, documentation retrieval, and arbitration with a focus on reducing turnaround times (TAT). - Participate in the creation of organizational policies to enhance legal compliance and ensure adherence to industry best practices.Qualifications:- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) is required; Master’s degree (LLM) is preferred. - Experience: 4 to 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in NBFCs, renewable energy, or financial services sectors. - Strong expertise in drafting legal documents, managing litigation, and structuring financial and other deals. - In-depth knowledge of corporate, financial, and regulatory laws applicable to NBFCs.Key Skills:- Excellent legal drafting and negotiation skills. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
