About the RoleThe Litigation Assistant (Paralegal) will support the U.S.-based legal team by accurately tracking client trade records and verifying investment fund → legal entity relationships inside the firm’s internal database. This position focuses on legal operations support, document verification, legal entity research, reconciliation, and high-accuracy data QA.Responsibilities- Track and maintain client trade and settlement records in the firm’s internal database with strong accuracy. - Conduct fund-to-entity mapping research, verifying relationships between investment funds and their legal entities. - Monitor and document fund name changes, management/AMC transfers, or entity restructuring. - Perform QA/QC and troubleshoot financial-legal datasets using Excel and/or Python-based logic. - Validate data using official sources, internal legal documentation, and document repositories. - Identify and report discrepancies or inconsistencies in trade logs, fund records, or legal entity data. - Coordinate document organization, indexing, archiving, and audit-readiness maintenance. - Support special legal research projects and verification tasks as assigned. - Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure up-to-date and consistent data delivery.Qualifications- 2–6 years of legal support or litigation operations support experience. - Exposure or familiarity with securities, investment funds, trade logs, global settlements, or entity verification work is strongly preferred. - Bachelor’s degree in law, Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. - Prior experience supporting international or U.S.-based legal teams in documentation/data QA roles is a plus.Skills and Abilities:- Strong research ability on legal entities, fund structures, and transactional documents - Experience managing case and data trackers (Excel/Sheets/Google Workspace) - QA/QC or audit experience on structured legal or financial datasets - Familiarity with legal terminology and investment fund/entity hierarchies - Ability to prioritize, verify, reconcile, QA and report inconsistencies independently - Highly organized, analytical, detail-driven, responsible and dependable - Strong English communication, documentation writing, and data-accuracy mindset - Self-motivated, proactive, quick learner, and strong team collaboratorPlease note: This is not an attorney role and does not involve independent client representation or court appearances as counsel.
