Key Purpose of the job : The role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating real estate contracts, conducting due diligence, ensuring compliance with applicable laws (including RERA), and providing critical inputs on land-related matters to support business growth. Key Responsibilities : Manage all legal aspects of land acquisition and development projects in Maharashtra. Conduct comprehensive title due diligence and highlight potential risks with mitigation strategies. Draft, vet, and negotiate real estate contracts, agreements, and related documentation. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including RERA, stamp duty, and registration. Provide legal advice to management on structuring, risks, and strategy Stay updated on changes in real estate laws and regulatory requirements, and disseminate key insights to business teams. Drive efficient contract management, ensuring timely and accurate documentation. Desired Candidate Profile : Minimum 8-12 years’ work experience and extensive knowledge in the Indian real estate industry, with strong focus on acquisition of land-related matters in the state of Maharashtra. LLB/LLM from a recognized Indian law school. High integrity and ethical values and must have a transparent way of working and ability to be an effective and collaborative team player. Proficient in drafting and reviewing real estate contracts and conducting due diligence. Thorough understanding of applicable laws and best practices in the real estate sector including RERA. Good analytical and comprehension skills with ability to identify critical issues and advise on means to address or mitigate them Role Type : Individual Contributor
