This is an inflection point — and we are looking for a technical leader to shape what comes next.ROLE OVERVIEWAs CTO, you will own the technical vision, architecture strategy, AI platform excellence, and team scale-up. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fully on-site, fast-paced environment and can bring rigour, best practices, and a high-impact team to accelerate growth. You will report directly to the founders and have full latitude over the engineering function.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESArchitecture & Platform Roadmap: Define the long-term technical vision. Drive completion of the PHP-to-Node.js migration and design the platform for 10x+ growth in document volume, accuracy, and throughput.Team Building: Personally attract and hire 4–7 senior engineers (backend, full-stack, MLOps, AI/ML) in the first 6–9 months, growing the overall engineering organisation to 12–18 people over 12–18 months.Engineering Standards: Implement robust CI/CD, automated testing (including AI accuracy benchmarks), observability, documentation, and on-call processes — without bureaucratic overhead.AI Platform Excellence: Improve reliability, inference speed, and SLA compliance across Doxtract, RiskParse, Unassisted Video KYC, voice automation, and future GenAI features.Enterprise Readiness: Strengthen security posture, maintain SOC 2 compliance, advance DPDP Act readiness, and enforce audit trails, encryption, and performance guarantees for BFSI and insurance clients.Tech Debt Reduction: Drive systematic modernisation while maintaining high delivery velocity — no big-bang rewrites; pragmatic, continuous improvement.Culture: Foster a high-ownership, collaborative, and results-driven engineering culture in our fully on-site Vile Parle West office.REQUIREMENTS13–18+ years in software engineering, with 6–8+ years in senior leadership (Director/VP or equivalent) in AI/ML-powered SaaS, regtech, fintech, or document intelligence companies.Proven success scaling high-accuracy AI platforms — document AI, identity verification, NLP/computer vision, or underwriting/risk systems — for enterprise clients.Track record of personally building or onboarding small core teams (4–7 senior engineers/ML specialists) in a previous leadership role.Deep technical expertise across:Microservices, event-driven systems, real-time processing, and scalable multi-tenant architecturesNode.js/TypeScript, PostgreSQL/Prisma, AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda), Docker, CI/CD, and observability toolingProductionising AI/ML workloads — MLOps, model monitoring, vector databases, reducing errors in IDP and GenAI pipelinesSecurity and compliance — SOC 2, DPDP Act, encryption, audit-ready systemsHands-on technical mindset with strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.Excited to work 100% on-site in Vile Parle West, Mumbai for close, daily collaboration with the founding team.
