Job Title: CIS Okta Administrator with (PHP web applications and inbound federation)Duration: 3 months (may extend)Location: remote offshoreRole SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled CIS–Okta Administrator to design, configure, and integrate Okta Customer Identity Solutions (CIS) with a custom-built PHP-based web application. This role is critical to enabling secure, scalable customer authentication using inbound federation from external Identity Providers (IDPs), including Microsoft and Google Identity.This is not traditional enterprise/workforce Okta administration. The role is focused on consumer/customer-facing identity, high-volume authentication, seamless user experience, and secure federation patterns.Key ResponsibilitiesOkta CIS / CIAM AdministrationConfigure, administer, and support Okta Customer Identity Solutions (CIS) for customer-facing applicationsManage customer identity lifecycles including registration, authentication, profile enrichment, and account recoveryDesign and maintain custom authentication and authorization flows optimized for external usersImplement and manage Okta user schemas, profile mappings, groups, and policies specific to consumer identitiesMonitor and troubleshoot authentication events, security logs, and federation errorsInbound Federation & Identity IntegrationsImplement inbound federation with external IDPs, including:MicrosoftGoogle IdentityHandle complex identity scenarios such as:Just-In-Time (JIT) provisioningAccount linking / identity matchingAttribute mapping and normalization across IDPsEnsure secure token issuance, claims handling, and federation trust configurationCustom PHP Website IntegrationIntegrate Okta CIS authentication into a custom PHP-based web applicationWork closely with development teams to:Implement Okta SDKs, APIs, and authentication flowsEmbed hosted or embedded sign-in experiencesSupport session management, token validation, and logout flowsDiagnose and resolve authentication issues across the PHP application stackCollaboration & EnablementPartner with application developers, architects, and security teamsProvide technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transferAssist with onboarding new applications or customer experiences onto Okta CISRequired Qualifications3–6+ years of hands-on experience with Okta, with a strong emphasis on Customer Identity Solutions (CIS / CIAM)Proven experience implementing inbound federation with external identity providersExperience integrating identity solutions with custom PHP web applications
