Role Senior Manager - Sales IT & Digital Transformation (Auction).Location : MumbaiExperience : 12-15 yearsRole purpose: With the ambitious growth planned for the JSW Steel organization the auction systems are key to success for any steel industry. Steelemart is JSW Steel's inhouse auction portal which is scaling at a very fast pace. JSW’s auction platform for steel products—currently on Google Cloud, integrated with SAP, and running a custom web technologies. The candidate should lead the technology roadmap, reliability, security, and evolution of Steelemart from transaction centric to Customer centric. Own end‑to‑end delivery for a new mobile app and embed Generative AI capabilities that enhance bidder experience, seller operations, and internal productivity.ResponsibilitiesProduct & delivery leadershipOwn Steelemart’s roadmap, from discovery to release in coordination with system implementation vendor partnerTranslate business requirements into epics/user stories; run sprint ceremonies; publish release notes and metrics (eg adoption, uptime, business outcome efficiency, cloud utilisation etc)Establish CI/CD, releases, automated tests, performance baselines, and incident playbooks.Architecture & engineeringDesign resilient SAP integrations (SO/DO creation, price/lot updates, ledger/credit visibility) with reusable APIs, retries, and monitoring.Evolve GCP architecture (compute, networking, caching, observability),optimize web technologies with support from system implementation vendor partnerImplement data pipelines for business analytics ensure data quality, lineage, and PII protection.Enabling data to decision framework with generative AI capabilitiesStakeholder & vendor managementPartner with business owners (e.g., Business heads / Sales/Logistics) and Steelemart group stakeholders for prioritization and roll‑outs.Budget management for various project deliverables and ensure on‑time, on‑budget execution.Required qualifications12–15 years in product/platform engineering/enterprise technologySteel domain experience combined with strong awareness of order to cash cycle, Software development lifecycle & project management techniquesStrong SAP integration background (orders, delivery, pricing; PI/PO/CPI/REST patterns), with production SLAsBasic working knowledge of Cloud technologies (Google Cloud preferable), Web development technologies, Relevant open sourceExposure for shipping mobile apps (Android/iOS) with secure auth, push notifications, etcExposure to GenAI (RAG, prompt engineering, evaluations, safety guardrails) and analytics for recommendations/nudges.Proven track record in SRE practices, CI/CD, and application security.Preferred/plusAuction/marketplace domain experience; event‑driven microservicesJSW values & behaviorsLive JSW values—Agility, Courage, Commitment, Compassion, Collaboration—and demonstrate strategic thinking, customer focus, and developing others as core leadership behaviors.
