Job Description:

Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced SAP HCM Payroll Consultant to join our Application Management Services (AMS) team based in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) Payroll modules and demonstrate a proven track record in supporting, maintaining, and optimising SAP Payroll solutions for diverse clients. This is a client-facing role requiring strong communication skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to delivering high-quality support services.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide end-to-end support for SAP HCM Payroll processes, including issue resolution, configuration, and enhancements.Monitor and manage payroll processes to ensure timely and accurate payroll execution as per statutory and organisational requirements.Collaborate with business users to understand payroll requirements, analyse gaps, and implement solutions.Handle incident and service request management in line with AMS best practices and SLAs.Perform regular system health checks, audits, and ensure statutory compliance (PF, ESI, PT, TDS, etc.) in Indian payroll context.Coordinate with technical teams for interface, integration, and batch job monitoring.Conduct user training and knowledge sharing sessions as required.Document all changes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps in accordance with company policies.Support year-end payroll activities, tax calculations, and statutory filings.Stay updated with SAP releases, notes, and legal changes affecting payroll processes.Required Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, HR, or related discipline.3+ years of hands-on experience in SAP HCM Payroll, preferably in an AMS or support environment.Strong knowledge of Indian payroll statutory requirements (e.g., PF, ESI, PT, TDS, etc.).Expertise in SAP Payroll schema, PCRs, wage types, time management integration, and payroll reporting.Experience with payroll configuration, troubleshooting, and end-user support.Familiarity with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll will be an added advantage.Good communication skills in English; knowledge of Hindi or Marathi will be beneficial.Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.Willingness to work in shifts or on-call support as per business requirements.Preferred AttributesSAP HCM certification.Experience with payroll migration or implementation projects.Exposure to interface management and third-party payroll integrations.Experience working with remote or global teams.Location & Work ModeLocation: Mumbai, MaharashtraWork Mode: Onsite/Hybrid (as per project requirement)
