Junior Backend Developer - Node.js (3 yrs exp)

We are looking for a Junior Backend Developer with a strong foundation in Node.js and experience working with content management systems (CMS) like Strapi . This role requires a focus on writing high-performance, secure backend code. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, skilled in solving security issues, and capable of handling backend tasks with efficiency. Bonus points for familiarity with DevOps and server management. Key Responsibilities : Backend Development : Develop and maintain high-performance backend systems using Node.js , ensuring clean and scalable code. CMS Integration : Work with popular CMS platforms like Strapi to create, manage, and customize backend services that integrate with these systems. Code Performance : Focus on writing efficient, performant backend code that can handle large amounts of data and traffic. Security Best Practices : Implement and resolve security concerns, ensuring backend systems are secure against common vulnerabilities (e.g., XSS, CSP, SQL Injection, CSRF). Version Control : Use Git to manage version control and collaborate effectively within a team. Server Management : Collaborate with the DevOps team (or handle basic tasks if experienced) to manage and optimize server infrastructure for the backend applications. API Development : Develop and maintain RESTful APIs or GraphQL endpoints to ensure smooth communication between frontend and backend services. Optimization : Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring that backend systems remain highly performant under various load conditions. Collaboration : Work closely with frontend developers, designers, and other team members to ensure smooth integration and delivery of the project. Attention to Detail : Must write clean, maintainable, and performant code. Communication : Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively within the team. Required Skills & Qualifications : Experience : Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in backend development with Node.js . CMS Expertise : Solid experience with CMS platforms like Strapi , particularly in backend management and custom integrations. Performance Focus : Deep understanding of how to write highly performant code and the ability to solve performance-related issues. Security : Familiarity with common backend security practices and the ability to solve security vulnerabilities. Version Control : Proficient in Git for source control management. API Development : Experience with RESTful APIs or GraphQL for backend services. Bonus Skills : Experience with DevOps tasks like server management, deploying applications, and working with cloud services (AWS, GCP, etc.).
