Head of Insurance

Role Overview The Head – Insurance will be responsible for leading and managing Karamtara Group’s global insurance and risk management framework. The role involves designing, placing, and servicing comprehensive insurance programs across geographies, ensuring optimal coverage, compliance with local regulations, effective claims management, and alignment with the Group’s risk appetite.Key Responsibilities Define and implement theglobal insurance strategyaligned with corporate risk appetite and business objectives. Design, structure, and manageglobal and country-specific insurance programsacross Property, CAR/EAR, Marine, P&I, CGL, D&O, Cyber, and other lines. Leadannual renewals and negotiationswith insurers and brokers, optimizing coverage, terms, and pricing. Overseeemployee benefits and captive insurance programs , including claims governance and performance monitoring. Act as senior advocate forcomplex global claims , directing TPAs and insurers to ensure maximum recovery. Review contracts, tenders, and proposals to advise oninsurance coverage, indemnities, and risk mitigation . Driveloss prevention, claims control, and emerging risk assessmentinitiatives across global operations. Manage relationships withinsurers, brokers, TPAs, and internal stakeholders , ensuring alignment and service excellence. Overseeinsurance budgets, premium allocation, and reporting , maintaining financial control and transparency. Lead and develop ateam of insurance professionals , fostering technical excellence and collaboration.Desired Profile: 10–15 years of experience in corporate insurance and risk management Strong exposure to industrial, EPC, infrastructure, or manufacturing risks Proven expertise in global insurance programs and claims management
