About UsWe are a multidisciplinary architecture and design consultancy firm, also delivering complex healthcare infrastructure projects through an integrated approach encompassing architecture, engineering, technology planning, and execution advisory. We are seeking an experienced Senior Biomedical Engineer (10–12 years) for a full-time role based in Mumbai with possible travel to Ahmedabad as required, to support medical equipment planning and technical integration across high-impact projects. The role involves end-to-end equipment planning, clinical infrastructure coordination, and integration of biomedical requirements into design and execution, in close collaboration with design teams, healthcare operators, vendors, and project stakeholders to ensure operational efficiency, compliance, and future readiness. The position offers exposure to complex healthcare projects, multidisciplinary collaboration, and the opportunity to contribute to the development of future-ready healthcare environments.Key ResponsibilitiesA. Medical Equipment PlanningDevelop department-wise equipment plans aligned with clinical and operational requirements Prepare equipment schedules and specialty-specific planning matrices Define utility and infrastructure requirements including electrical, UPS, medical gases, HVAC, plumbing, structural, and IT connectivity Identify long-lead equipment and align procurement timelines Assess equipment movement, access, and rigging requirements B. Room Data Sheet (RDS) DevelopmentPrepare detailed Room Data Sheets for critical clinical and specialty departments C. Design & Technical CoordinationCoordinate with architectural teams on room sizing, workflows, adjacencies, and equipment movement Align with MEP teams on power, HVAC, medical gases, plumbing, and fire/life safety requirements Coordinate with structural consultants for loading, vibration, and shielding requirements Collaborate with IT/ELV teams for integration of PACS, HIS, nurse call, and AV systems D. Vendor CoordinationCoordinate with equipment manufacturers and vendors during planning and execution Review technical submissions and validate infrastructure requirements Ensure installation readiness and timeline alignment E. Budgeting & Procurement SupportPrepare CAPEX estimates and support procurement planning Assist in budgeting and cost forecasting Recommend value engineering opportunities F. Tender & Technical DocumentationPrepare technical specifications and BOQs Evaluate vendor submissions and support technical comparisons G. Execution & Commissioning SupportConduct site assessments for infrastructure readiness Resolve pre-installation and execution-stage coordination issues Support testing, commissioning, and final handover documentationQualifications & RequirementsBachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering or a related discipline Strong expertise in hospital planning, medical equipment integration, and healthcare compliance standards (including NABH and JCI)Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Effective stakeholder management with strong communication and cross-functional coordination abilities Capable of managing multiple projects with a focus on technical accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery
