Job OverviewThe Respiratory Therapist Specialist – Apprentice program is designed for fresh graduates aspiring to build a career in respiratory care and mechanical ventilation technology. As part of a leading healthcare/medical device organization, the apprentice will receive intensive training on mechanical ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP systems, and other respiratory care devices while supporting clinical teams in hospitals.This is a structured learning role with strong exposure to real-world clinical workflows, device handling, and interaction with ICU/critical care staff.Key ResponsibilitiesClinical & Technical LearningLearn the fundamentals of mechanical ventilation, respiratory parameters, and device operations.Assist senior respiratory therapists and application specialists during ventilator demonstrations, installations, and clinical support sessions.Observe and assist with ventilator setup, configuration, and monitoring in ICU, NICU, PICU, and emergency settings.Understand different ventilation modes (e.g., Volume Control, Pressure Control, SIMV, CPAP).Application & Customer SupportSupport in conducting product demos and hands-on training for clinicians and nurses.Assist in troubleshooting basic device issues under guidance from senior team members.Learn how to document feedback, clinical observations, and usage patterns from hospitals.Device Management & ComplianceHelp in performing routine checks, preventive maintenance, and performance assessments of ventilators.Ensure proper cleaning, handling, and safety protocols for all respiratory devices.Follow company SOPs, regulatory guidelines, and hospital infection control norms.Training & CertificationParticipate in structured internal training programs on respiratory therapy and ventilator technology.Complete skill assessments, modules, and certification milestones during the apprenticeship period.Required QualificationsEducation (Freshers Only):Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in:Respiratory Therapy / Respiratory CarePreferred Knowledge:Basic understanding of Human Respiratory physiologyInterest in mechanical ventilation and critical care devicesComfort working in hospital/ICU environmentsKey Skills & AttributesStrong learning mindset and passion for respiratory careGood communication and interpersonal skills for hospital interactionsTechnical curiosity for medical devices and technologyAbility to work under supervision in fast‑paced clinical settingsWillingness to travel locally for hospital visitsBenefits & Growth OpportunitiesHands-on training with advanced ventilator systems and respiratory technologyExposure to real hospital environments, ICU workflows, and critical care teamsMentorship from experienced respiratory therapists and application expertsCertificate of Apprenticeship upon completionStrong career pathway into:Respiratory TherapistApplication Specialist – VentilatorsClinical Specialist – Critical CareProduct Trainer / Clinical EducatorTechnical Support Specialist (Medical Devices)About the Apprenticeship ProgramThis apprenticeship is built to develop future-ready respiratory care professionals who can operate confidently in critical care environments and support hospitals with advanced ventilator solutions.
