Biomedical Engineer

PositionWe seek a Biomedical Engineer to join our Biomedical Engineering team. This role involves maintaining medical equipment, reducing downtime, conducting preventive maintenance, and supporting end-user training to ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety.Key ResponsibilitiesEquipment Maintenance & OperationsPerform daily maintenance of biomedical equipment to minimize downtime.Execute preventive maintenance as per schedule.Attend to breakdown calls promptly and follow up with vendors for contracted or under-warranty equipment.Training & CommunicationConduct end-user training for medical equipment.Communicate effectively with the Assistant Manager / Senior Biomedical Engineer to meet departmental goals.Coordinate with user departments to understand and address equipment-related needs.Asset ManagementAssist in commissioning and tagging new equipment.Maintain an updated inventory of equipment across departments.Manage equipment warranties and insurance claims.Safety & ComplianceDocument and report all equipment-related incidents.Help ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.Support quality assurance and ISO standards implementation.Inventory & Spare ManagementMaintain minimum stock of essential spare parts.Initiate requisitions for spare parts and track usage.Order PPM parts in advance to ensure timely maintenance.Cost & Risk ManagementSupport cost control efforts by managing spare part quality and usage.Initiate and document insurance claims as required. RequirementsBachelor's or Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering.1-5 years of experience in a top hospital.About Asian Heart InstituteAsian Heart Institute is India's #1 cardiac hospital dedicated to incorporating the latest technological advances and ethical practices to provide quality heart care at reasonable costs.
