Position: Senior Marathi Fact CheckerLocation: Mumbai️ Working Days: Monday to FridayExperience Required: 4-7 YearsKey ResponsibilitiesClient Intake & Relationship (SPOC)- Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) for the client for all day-to-day intelligence requests, escalations, and delivery scheduling. - Run structured intake sessions to convert client requirements into measurable analyst tasks, detection parameters and acceptance criteria. - Manage client expectations, SLAs and feedback loops with diplomacy and professionalism. - Lead onboarding, periodic reviews and training sessions for clients on how to read/interpret our intelligence outputs and dashboards.Translate Requirements & Coordinate Delivery- Convert client questions into investigative hypotheses, assist with Boolean/keyword lists, monitoring rules, and analyst work plans. - Prioritise analyst tasks, triage ad-hoc asks, and plan resources to meet deadlines and SLAs. - Maintain clear task tracking between client requests and analyst workstreams.Editorial, Fact-check & Output Ownership- Own final client deliverables: daily briefs, situational reports, weekly trend summaries, dashboards and ad-hoc strategic memos. - Edit, proofread, and quality-assure Marathi and English outputs to ensure clarity, factual accuracy, and an appropriate tone. - Lead fact-checking and verification workflows for sensitive claims, synthetic media, and disputed content. - Translate technical SOCMINT findings into clear, client-facing narratives that are easily understandable and accessible.Analytical Oversight & Methodology- Provide analytical direction for investigations: actor/network mapping, narrative sequencing, impact assessment and attribution hypotheses. - Ensure consistent use of analytical frameworks and quality controls across outputs (source provenance, confidence statements, limitations). - Maintain and refine monitoring parameters (Boolean queries, keyword dictionaries, language/regional filters) in collaboration with analysts.People & Process- Mentor and guide junior/senior analysts on client requirements, editorial standards and presentation skills. - Design and assist in enforcing templates, SOPs and acceptance checklists for client deliverables. - Provide structured feedback to product/AI teams on platform performance, Marathi language handling and workflow ergonomics.Presentation & Advisory- Present findings, rationales and recommended actions to client stakeholders in Marathi and English. - Translate intelligence into practical mitigation/communication recommendations for client teams and decision-makers.Qualifications & Experience Required- 4–7 years’ experience in SOCMINT, OSINT, investigative journalism, fact-checking, editorial roles, or intelligence delivery with a clear focus on customer-facing responsibilities. - Demonstrable experience as a point-person/SPOC for clients or as a lead who coordinated analyst teams and delivered client outputs. - Native/full professional fluency in Marathi (reading, writing, speaking) is mandatory. - Strong working knowledge of misinformation/disinformation (MDM), influence operations, CIB and verification techniques. - Proven editorial and fact-checking skills: ability to identify narratives, cite sources, and apply verification thresholds. - Excellent stakeholder management, presentation and written communication skills in Marathi and English. - Practical experience with OSINT/SOCMINT tools and workflows (examples: Maltego, Brandwatch, Talkwalker, Dataminr, Meltwater, or in-house platforms). - Strong organisational skills and comfort managing multiple parallel requests under SLAs.Preferred- Experience working with government or large institutional clients, or in high-sensitivity environments (national security, public policy, media houses). - Prior supervisory experience or experience leading small analyst teams (2–5 people). - Familiarity with analytical frameworks (DISARM, MITRE AMITT/AMITT-influence, intelligence cycle) and editorial style guides. - Technical literacy (comfort with dashboards, spreadsheets, simple SQL or API outputs) to interrogate data when needed. - Prior work on Maharashtra's political, cultural and regional media ecosystems.Location & Requirements- Work Setting: Full-time, work-from-office role based in Mumbai. - Language Proficiency: Mandatory fluency in Marathi (spoken & written); excellent English communication. - Regional Awareness: Deep understanding of Maharashtra’s socio-political landscape, media ecosystems, local governance and cultural nuances. Should be able to contextualise state and local developments within national trends.
