The Executive Chef is a culinary leadership role responsible for overseeing the entire culinary operations across the country, ensuring consistency, quality, and innovation in all customer-facing culinary initiatives. The Executive Chef is a visionary leader driving culinary innovation, customer engagement, and product adoption. This role is both creative and commercial — shaping Rich’s culinary identity while serving as a critical interface between product development, customers, and the sales organization.This role will lead and manage a team of National and Regional Culinary Managers, guiding them to deliver exceptional culinary services and training to key customers within the Bakery, Food & Beverages sector.The Executive Chef will execute the organizational culinary strategy and provide support for regional teams in the implementation of new products, recipes, and training programs. The incumbent will collaborate closely with the leadership team to align culinary initiatives with overall business objectives, while managing high-level customer relationships.Key Responsibilities:Culinary Vision & Market StrategyDefine and execute Rich’s India’s culinary roadmap, aligned with global trends and local consumer preferences.Identify emerging food categories (plant-based, bakery, frozen, convenience) and translate them into scalable product opportunities.Partner with leadership to shape long-term culinary strategy that supports revenue growth and brand differentiation.Gather and analyze competitor and market information to provide actionable insights for the company’s strategic initiatives.Monitor industry trends and customer behavior to help refine product offerings and marketing strategies.Act as the bridge between product, customer, and sales — ensuring culinary solutions are commercially viable and customer-centric.Drive product adoption by enabling concept-led selling and showcasing applications that highlight Rich’s portfolio.Support strategic customer engagements alongside sales teams, providing culinary expertise that strengthens partnerships and accelerates growth.Innovation & Application DevelopmentInnovate and create new recipes, presentations, and applications for Rich Products to meet market needs.Keep up-to-date with industry trends and translate them into practical solutions.Enhance customer menus by developing recipes and applications tailored to their business requirements.Ensure new recipes & product applications align with customer success and growth goals.Working closely with R&D to ensure valuable customer feedback flows back to the product development team to help refine and enhance existing product offerings.Participate in the innovation process by proposing new product ideas or improvements based on customer insights and market trends.Driving new applications for existing productsSupporting product trials and conversions at customer kitchensCustomer & Industry EngagementAct as the culinary ambassador for Rich’s India, representing the brand at trade shows, customer demos, and industry forums. Collaborate with teams to ensure Rich Products is positioned as a leader in culinary innovation at industry eventsDevelop strategic partnerships with key customers, offering culinary insights that drive adoption of Rich’s products. Supporting strategic key account engagements along with the sales leadershipPosition Rich’s India as a thought leader in food innovation through workshops, culinary labs, and trend reports.Translate new product developments into effective and practical use within customer kitchens.Participating in important customer meetings, demonstrations, and innovation sessions.Helping translate product capabilities into practical menu and application solutions for customers.Supporting new customer acquisition through concept-led engagement.People & Capability DevelopmentBuild and mentor a high-performing culinary team with strong innovation and customer engagement skills. Developing strong Regional and National Culinary Managers.Conduct structured product and market training for the team, ensuring they build capability to:Provide expert guidance on the proper use of Rich Products’ offerings.Offer on-site training to customers on new recipes, presentations, & product usage.Deliver technical advice on menu creation, ingredient optimization, and product applications.Troubleshoot and resolve customer technical issues to ensure seamless operations.Conduct in-depth, hands-on training sessions with customers based on their specific requirements.Continuously assess training needs and update training content based on evolving customer demands and trends. Standardizing training and capability development across the team Building stronger collaboration between culinary teams and sales teams in the market.Cross-functional CollaborationWork closely with the sales, marketing, and product development teams to ensure alignment on customer needs and product offerings.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create marketing and promotional materials that highlight new recipes, trends, and applications.Play a key role in formulating the resource strategy, ensuring the right deployment for business growth.Partner with Supply Chain and Operations during product trials and application scale-up.Work with Marketing teams to design and deliver customer engagement programs, workshops, and industry events.Collaborate with Sales leadership and zonal teams to drive market execution and strengthen customer adoption.Ideal Candidate:Culinary degree or equivalent professional training, with 15+ years of proven experience culinary leadership, with exposure to food manufacturing, QSR, or FMCG.Rich knowledge and skill in Bakery / Food /Beverages.Proven ability to align culinary innovation with business strategy and market trends.Proven expertise in developing new recipe/new presentations/new product application.Deep understanding of bakery, frozen, and convenience food categories, plus awareness of global food trends. Ability to lead and inspire large teams, with a problem-solving and ownership mindset. Experience in managing or collaborating with chefs or culinary teams for product development.Strong analytical and strategic thinking with a focus on business impact.Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship management skills.
