About Us Churchgate Hospitality Pvt. Ltd., the creators of premium dining destinations such as Nksha, Otōki, and Tamak, is set to launch its newest venture – an authentic Italian Ristorante in high-street Colaba, Mumbai, India. Our culinary vision is to deliver a refined Italian dining experience serving classic antipasti, house-made pastas, gourmet pizzas, secondi, and elegant desserts, crafted with the highest attention to tradition and detail. We are seeking an experienced Italian Expatriate Executive Chef to spearhead this new restaurant, establish its culinary identity, and lead our kitchen with authenticity, creativity, and precision. Key Responsibilities • Menu Development & Culinary Direction • Design and execute an authentic Italian menu highlighting antipasti, primi, secondi, hand-rolled pastas, artisanal pizzas, and regional specialties. • Introduce modern yet elegant interpretations of traditional Italian dishes while maintaining authenticity. • Kitchen Leadership & Operations • Lead and inspire a multicultural kitchen brigade, ensuring international standards of quality and consistency. • Oversee sourcing of the best locally available and imported ingredients to maintain Italian authenticity. • Implement and maintain high standards of hygiene, health, and food safety in compliance with international norms. • Training & Development • Mentor and train local kitchen staff in traditional Italian culinary techniques. • Build a culture of excellence, discipline, and creativity. • Financial & Operational Accountability • Manage kitchen budgets, cost controls, and inventory. • Work with management to optimize menu pricing and profitability. • Brand Building • Represent the restaurant in media interactions, food festivals, collaborations, and events when required. • Drive culinary innovation while preserving the ethos of Italian gastronomy. Candidate Profile • Experience: Minimum 15 years of professional experience in Italian cuisine. • Background: At least 8–10 years of work experience in Italy, including fine dining or Michelin-recognized establishments. • International Exposure: Preferably worked in standalone restaurants overseas, bringing a global perspective. • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and inspire diverse kitchen teams. • Language: Fluency in English (knowledge of Italian is an added advantage).•
