These systems run in public, under load, with zero tolerance for failure.We’re hiring a Head of Electronics Engineering to own the controls brain of our machines.This is not a coordination role.This is design, code, debug, deliver.You will own• PLC architecture, standards, and safety logic• How systems behave on site, under pressure• Controls decisions from blank page to commissioningYou will do• Write and review production-grade PLC code• Build PLC frameworks, libraries, and standards• Design motion sequences, interlocks, state machines• Work mainly with Siemens PLCs (TIA Portal, S7-1500 / S7-1200)• Integrate drives, robots, safety systems, HMIs• Lead FAT, SAT, commissioning, and troubleshootingYou must have• 5+ years hands-on controls / automation experience• Strong PLC programming depth (not maintenance-only)• Siemens PLC + industrial networking experience• Comfort owning safety-critical decisions• Ability to debug without vendor dependenceDo NOT apply if• You avoid site work or commissioning• You need fixed specs to function• You want a pure manager role• You don’t want accountability when things failCompensation• Senior-level compensation aligned with top-tier controls engineers• ESOPs / long-term equity upside for high-impact contributors• Performance-linked upside tied to delivery, reliability, and ownership• Long-term growth as BDPL scales globallyWhy BDPL• Real technical authority• One-off systems (no repeat SKUs)• Direct access to founders• International exposurePay tied to capability, not tenureIf this something that you would enjoy doing, we would love to hear from you!
