Automation & Control Engineer

Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design, development, and implementation of advanced control systems including DCS, PLC, and SCADA solutions. Review and analyse P&ID drawings, control schematics, and instrumentation layouts to ensure system integrity and compliance.Prepare and approve detailed control panel wiring diagrams, wiring schedules, terminal diagrams, and loop diagrams.Develop and optimize control logic, scripts, and HMI screens to enhance process automation and monitoring.Provide technical guidance and support during the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of control systems.Conduct system integration, testing, and commissioning activities ensuring seamless operation of automation solutions.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve complex control system issues and implement improvements.Ensure all automation activities adhere to safety standards, industry regulations, and company policies.Document system configurations, modifications, and maintenance procedures for future reference and compliance.Mentor junior engineers and team members promote best practices in control system engineering.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering (Instrumentation & Control, Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering or related field).Preferred Skills & Experience3-4 years of experiencePrior hands-on experience with designing or working on DCS, PLC, or SCADA systems will be an advantage.Familiarity with reading and interpreting P&ID drawings and preparing control panel diagrams is desirable.Experience in wiring, configuration, or troubleshooting control systems in industrial environments will be considered a plus.Certification or training in Siemens DCS, PCS7, Schneider's Siemens PLC or related automation platforms will enhance candidacy.Exposure to power plant automation or industrial process control projects will be beneficial.Personal Attribute / TraitExcellent Interpersonal and Communication skills.Must be detailed oriented.Ability to work safely in industrial environment.Creative & Initiative skills for value addition.Must be self-motivated.
