Dear Candidate,We have urgent requirement of :Estimation Engineer -RefractoryJob location MumbaiImmediate joinerCriteria required:B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical / CeramicJob details:3–8 years of experience in refractory estimation, tendering, or project costing (industrial furnaces, kilns, reformers, HRSGs, or similar)1. Estimation & CostingStudy tender documents, drawings, and BOQs to understand project scope, materials, and technical requirements.Prepare detailed cost estimates for refractory materials, labor, scaffolding, consumables, and equipment.Collect and analyze vendor and subcontractor quotations for bricks, castables, anchors, and related accessories.Prepare cost breakdowns, rate analyses, and comparison sheets for management approval.Maintain and update cost databases for refractory materials, manpower rates, and equipment hire charges.2. Technical Evaluation & Proposal PreparationCoordinate with design and engineering teams to confirm material selection and quantity take-offs.Prepare technical clarifications and deviation statements during tender submission.Assist in the preparation of technical and commercial bid documents as per client formats.Support value engineering by suggesting alternative materials or installation methods to optimize cost and performance.3. Coordination & CommunicationLiaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal departments (procurement, planning, execution) for estimation inputs.Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to collect relevant data for cost estimation.Provide estimation support and clarifications to project execution teams post-award.4. Post-Award & Cost Control SupportParticipate in handover meetings to transfer estimation details to project teams.Compare actual project costs with estimated values to improve future cost accuracy.Maintain proper records of all cost data, correspondence, and revisions.salary range : 32000-38000 per month
