Join us in helping leading organizations manage and optimize their cloud infrastructure to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing operations.Your RoleAs an Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management, monitoring, and maintenance of GCP infrastructure and applications. You’ll handle routine operations, incident response, and system optimization to ensure reliability and performance.In this role, you will:- Administer Linux and Windows systems in cloud environments - Monitor cloud infrastructure and respond to incidents - Execute backup and disaster recovery operations - Optimize system performance and apply security patches - Automate deployments and manage rollback procedures - Analyze logs and configure alerts for proactive monitoring - Manage GCP resources including compute, storage, networking, and IAM - Use Cloud Console and gcloud CLI for operational tasks - Track resource usage and optimize cloud costs - Maintain service health and troubleshoot GCP services - Document operational procedures and maintain runbooks - Communicate incident status and updates clearly - Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively - Interact professionally with internal customers - Stay reliable for on-call and operational responsibilities - Apply basic Infrastructure as Code conceptsYour Profile- 3+ years in cloud operations, system administration, or infrastructure management - Preferred: 5+ years in enterprise cloud environments - Experience in 24/7 operations and incident response - Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) - Familiarity with configuration management and monitoring tools - Hands-on experience with GCP services including GCE, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, and Cloud Monitoring - Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field - Certifications preferred: Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer, Linux+ or equivalent - Clear communication and documentation skills - Willingness to learn new technologies and collaborate across teamsWhat You’ll Love About Working Here- We value flexibility and support our employees with remote work options and adaptable schedules to maintain a healthy work-life balance. - Our inclusive culture brings together diverse professionals committed to growth, innovation, and excellence. - You’ll have access to continuous learning opportunities and certifications in emerging technologies like cloud and AI.About UsAt Capgemini Engineering, the world leader in engineering services, we bring together a global team of engineers, scientists, and architects to help the world’s most innovative companies unleash their potential.
