Mechanical Engineer

Key Responsibilities Responsible for execution, installation, testing & commissioning of mechanical systems in Data Center projects (HVAC, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Pumps, Fire Fighting, Plumbing & Drainage systems). Review design drawings, technical specifications, and coordinate with consultants, contractors, and vendors. Perform load calculations, heat load analysis, equipment sizing, and selection of HVAC systems. Ensure adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and safety protocols at site. Plan preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for mechanical equipment. Handle day-to-day operations and troubleshooting of mechanical systems in live data centers. Support in procurement – technical evaluation of mechanical equipment vendors and materials. Coordinate with electrical, civil, and other teams for smooth project execution. Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and checklists. Required Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of HVAC systems (CRAC/CRAH units, Chillers, AHUs, Cooling Towers, VFDs). Experience in fire-fighting systems (sprinklers, hydrants, FM200, NOVEC, inert gases). Hands-on experience with plumbing, pumps, piping layouts, valves . Familiar with mechanical codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, ISHRAE, IS codes). Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (AutoCAD knowledge preferred). Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Good coordination and communication abilities to work with cross-functional teams. Qualifications B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. 3–7 years of relevant experience in Data Centers, MEP Projects, or large industrial/commercial facilities. Experience in datacenter projects will be a strong advantage.
