Special Education Teacher

The Power Learning Centre is one of the largest multi-disciplinary Centres in Mumbai, with 2 branches of 2500 sq ft in Santacruz W & Goregaon E. As we expand, we are on the lookout for additional Special Educators to join our team.We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Educator to create and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEP) for students with special needs. The job involves assessing students, developing appropriate education plans, and collaborating with other therapists to ensure students receive the best possible education. Roles & Responsibilities: Conduct assessments to identify students' strengths and challenges Create and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEP) that address students' individual needs Collaborate with other therapists / staff to create a supportive learning environment that meets the needs of all students Provide instruction in various subjects, including reading, writing, math, and social skills Monitor student progress and adjust IEP goals and objectives as needed Communicate with parents and caregivers on a regular basis to provide updates on student progress Maintain comprehensive session notes, attendance sheets, and other required documentation. Build and maintain effective working relationships with the Centre Head, co-workers, and reporting managers. Participate in team meetings and contribute to collaborative care planning. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field 2-3 years of experience preferred; freshers with strong exposure are welcome to apply. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Child-centric, empathetic, and collaborative approach to therapy / teaching. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to create and implement effective education plans RCI certification or equivalent state certification.Power Learning is proud to pay well above industry standards for the right candidates and we are an excellent option for candidates willing to relocate.
