Right from designing a booth all the way through manufacturing, print production and installation at the show, we do it all. Our own facilities are strategically located in US- San Diego, Vegas, Dallas and Orlando to cater to shows across the length and breadth of the region. Exponents is fully owned subsidiaries of Insta -Group and captive clients for its outsourcing arm in India, Insta Integrated Marketing Solutions LLP. (IIMS). The IIMS has grown from 20 to 200 employees in the last 5 years. A young team of professionals that work on client servicing, exhibit space design, digital marketing, engineering and project management, for all our trade show booth customers in the US, out of the Mumbai office. We are growing at 20% y-o-y and are focussed to sustain this growth for the next 5 years. This means more trade show booth projects in the ever-growing US market and more domain expertise out of India. Website link: link: OverviewThe Manager - Project Estimation is a highly analytical and detail-oriented leader responsible for overseeing and optimizing the entire estimation process for all tradeshow projects in the US. This role demands exceptional proficiency in numerical analysis, meticulous attention to cost details, and a deep understanding of the tradeshow industry's unique pricing structures. The Manager Estimation ensures the delivery of accurate, competitive, and profitable project estimates, playing a pivotal role in securing new business and maintaining the company profitability. This position leads a team of estimators, providing guidance, training, and quality assurance to uphold the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency.Key Responsibilities1. Leadership & Team ManagementLead, mentor, and supervise a team of cost estimators.Allocate tasks, manage workloads, and ensure estimations are completed within required timelines.Conduct performance evaluations and identify training needs to enhance team expertise.Establish best practices, templates, and workflows for the estimation department.2. Costing & EstimationReview design briefs, technical drawings, 3D renders, BOQs, and production specs to generate accurate cost estimates.Prepare cost breakdowns for carpentry, metal fabrication, graphics, AV, electrical, rigging, furniture, logistics, and labor.Analyze vendor quotations, negotiate pricing, and maintain updated cost databases.Ensure all estimates align with project scope, production capabilities, and client expectations.Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety. 3. Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with design, project management, sales, and production teams to clarify requirements and refine estimations.Participate in internal and client meetings to support the sales team with technical and pricing insights.Provide proactive feedback to design teams to ensure concepts are feasible and cost-effective.4. Process Improvement & Quality ControlDevelop and maintain standardized cost sheets, rate cards, and material catalogs.Implement structured procedures to improve accuracy, efficiency, and consistency of estimates.Ensure all proposals comply with company policies, industry standards, and client guidelines.Conduct post-project cost reviews to refine future estimates and improve accuracy.5. Market & Industry AnalysisMonitor cost fluctuations for materials, labor rates, logistics, and subcontractor services.Stay updated with new technologies, fabrication methods, and industry trends.Benchmark pricing against competitors and recommend strategic pricing adjustments.Educational Requirements & Skills ● Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., PMP, Certified Cost Professional) is highly desirable. Experience● Minimum 7+ years of progressive experience in cost estimation, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial role.● Extensive and demonstrable experience in detailed cost analysis and numerical proficiency, specifically within the tradeshow, exhibition, event management, or custom fabrication industry.● Proven track record of developing accurate and profitable estimates for complex projects.
