As we accelerate our global expansion, you’ll have the unique opportunity to grow your career in tandem with the company, driving innovation and shaping a healthier, more equitable, and resilient future.Location: Mumbai (India)Role OverviewThe Tender & MII Specialist will be responsible for managing end-to-end tendering operations across government and private procurement platforms, with a strong focus on GeM (Government e-Marketplace) and Make in India (MII) compliance.The role will work closely with sales, service, and finance teams to ensure high-quality bid submissions, regulatory compliance, and improved win rates, while enabling growth in the institutional and government business segment.This role is critical to driving growth in the government and institutional business segment by ensuring high-quality, compliant, and competitive tender participation, while leveraging GeM and MII frameworks to strengthen market access and win rates.Key Responsibilities1. Tender Identification & Bid Management· Proactively track and identify relevant tender opportunities across platforms such as GeM, CPPP, E-Publish, BPCL, IOCL, Ariba, and other portals.· Manage end-to-end tender lifecycle, from opportunity evaluation to final submission.· Prepare and submit complete, accurate, and compliant bid documentation including technical and commercial proposals.· Ensure strict adherence to timelines, eligibility criteria, and documentation requirements to avoid disqualification.2. GeM Portal Management· Own and manage all activities on the GeM portal, including:o Tender search and bid participation (General, Custom Bid, BOQ, Reverse Auction)o Product listing, catalog management, pairing, and cloningo Order processing, acceptance, and closureo Invoice generation and tracking· Support internal teams and customers in navigating GeM processes and compliance requirements.3. MII (Make in India) Compliance & Localization· Ensure all bids comply with Make in India (MII) policies, including local content requirements and certification.· Coordinate with internal stakeholders to validate local content declarations and documentation.· Stay updated on government procurement policies, preference norms, and eligibility criteria.· Support positioning of products/services under Class I / Class II supplier categories to enhance bid competitiveness.4. Commercial & Competitive Analysis· Prepare technical comparison sheets and L1 analysis to evaluate competitor positioning.· Support sales teams with pricing strategies and bid structuring to improve win probability.· Maintain a structured database of tenders, quotations, and outcomes for future reference and insights.5. Financial & Compliance Coordination· Coordinate with finance for timely arrangement of:- Earnest Money Deposit (EMD)- Tender fees- Performance Bank Guarantees (PBG)· Track EMD/PBG lifecycle including submission, renewal, and release.· Ensure compliance with contractual, commercial, and statutory requirements.6. Bid Support & Sales Coordination· Collaborate closely with sales teams to align on bid strategy, technical inputs, and customer requirements.· Prepare and manage customer quotations and maintain a centralized quotation repository.· Provide support during pre-bid meetings, clarifications, and negotiations.7. Post-Bid Follow-Up & Order Management· Monitor tender status and ensure timely follow-up on results, clarifications, and award notifications.· Handle technical disqualification cases by submitting representations and supporting documents.· Support order execution teams in ensuring smooth transition from order award to fulfilment.8. Customer & Stakeholder Support· Act as a point of contact for tender-related customer queries and support requirements.· Assist customers with GeM-related processes and compliance documentation.· Build strong coordination across sales, service, finance, and external stakeholders.9. Reporting & Process Improvement· Maintain accurate records and dashboards for tender pipeline, win rates, and performance tracking.· Identify process gaps and drive improvements in bid quality, turnaround time, and compliance.· Ensure proper documentation and audit readiness for all tender-related activities.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)· Tender win rate (%)· Number of qualified bids submitted· Bid submission accuracy (error-free submissions)· Turnaround time for bid preparation· GeM business contribution (revenue/orders)· Compliance adherence (MII and tender requirements)· EMD/PBG management efficiencyCandidate Profile· 4–8 years of experience in tendering, bid management, or sales coordination, preferably in healthcare, life sciences, or industrial equipment sectors· Strong hands-on experience with GeM portal and government tendering processes· Good understanding of MII (Make in India) policies and public procurement norms· Ability to handle technical and commercial documentation independently· Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work under tight deadlines· Good coordination and communication skills with cross-functional teams
