Electrical Manager

Role & responsibilitiesA) Team & Operation ManagementSupervise daily tasks of electricians and technicians.Plan and allocate work, monitor performance, and ensure timely completion.Provide technical guidance and training to the team.B) Preventive & Predictive MaintenancePrepare and implement monthly/annual maintenance schedules.Ensure preventive maintenance of HT panels, MCCs, UPS, DG sets, transformers, VFDs, HVAC electricals, and lighting systems.Reduce breakdowns through root-cause analysis and corrective actions.C) Breakdown ManagementAttend major electrical faults and guide the team to restore power quickly.Troubleshoot issues in power distribution, control wiring, motors, and automation equipment.Maintain minimum downtime and ensure system reliability.D) Compliance & Electrical SafetyEnsure compliance with IS standards, statutory norms, and audit requirements.Maintain documentation for ISO, fire safety, government inspections, and internal audits.Ensure safe work practices (LOTO, PPE, earth resistance testing, load balancing).E) Project & Vendor ManagementLead installation, commissioning, upgrading, or shifting of electrical equipment.Prepare BOQs, scope of work, and coordinate with vendors/contractors.Verify work quality and ensure cost-effective solutions.F) Energy ManagementMonitor energy consumption and improve power factor and load distribution.Recommend energy-saving initiatives and track results.G) Documentation & ReportingMaintain checklists, PM records, breakdown logs, and stock of electrical spares.Prepare daily/weekly/monthly maintenance reports for management.Support budgeting of maintenance and capital projects.H) Equipment HandlingTroubleshoot and maintain motors, VFDs, panels, APFC panels, transformers, UPS, HVAC electrical components, and lighting systems.Perform testing using multimeters, clamp meters, megger, etc.I) CoordinationCoordinate with vendors for repair, AMC services, and spare procurement.Support project work like installation, shifting, and commissioning of new electrical equipment.J) Required SkillsStrong knowledge of electrical circuits, control wiring, and power distribution.Ability to read electrical diagrams.Troubleshooting skills for industrial/office electrical systems.Knowledge of safety PPE and electrical safety practicesPersonal QualitiesGood problem-solving skillsWillingness to attend emergency callsAbility to work independently and in teamStrong technical knowledge of electrical distribution systems.Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.Good planning, leadership, and communication skillsQualificationsBE in Electrical Engineering.510 years experience in electrical maintenance/facility/plant operations.Experience in team handling is preferred
