Job Description:

The Lead-Investigation will investigate and prepare investigation report for all the cases received for investigation within the organization, focusing on fraud prevention, compliance and risk management. The incumbent will be responsible for fostering a culture of compliance and ethical conduct. The role will be pivotal in safeguarding the organization against fraud, misconduct and regulatory breaches. Below are the key responsibilities in this role: Conduct thorough investigations into suspected fraudulent activities, preparing comprehensive reports and recommendations, including Whistleblower investigations. Carry out end to end investigations by ensuring that all prescribed investigative/operating methodologies for the various types of investigations are adhered to and by conducting proper planning on high level investigations. Review the investigation reports of other team members. Make meaningful recommendations as per the type of investigation. This will include, but not limited to system, people, process failures or internal or external threats. Assist line management/ HR with relevant findings/ documentation for use in disciplinary action. Prepare the PPT’s for ACB presentations. Represent the organization in any criminal/civil court proceedings where summoned to enter appearance. Ensure all investigative processes comply with legal, internal and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with IA, risk management and other departments to enhance the bank’s compliance framework. Work closely with internal stakeholders (risk management, compliance, IT) to share findings and implement preventive measures. Analyze investigation trends and outcomes to inform policy adjustments and risk management strategies. Develop and deliver training programs to staff on fraud awareness and prevention techniques. Analyze trends and patterns to enhance detection mechanisms. Lead and mentor the investigations team, promoting a culture of integrity and accountability.
