Designation: Assistant ManagerJob Role: Buying & Merchandising along with Product DevelopmentDepartment: Category – FootwearLocation: Mumbai (Andheri East)Qualification: Graduate/ Postgraduate from FDDIExperience: 4 to 5 YearsCompetencies:- Candidate from FDDI background - Experience working with Sports shoe product development divisions - Ability to understand the needs of and develop product resonating with Skechers Footwear target consumer - Fluent in English communication, in both written and spoken. - Fast learner, team player and has sense of urgency. - Exceptional time management skills - Experienced with seasonal color, trend and theme research and interpretation with market & competitor understanding - Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment - Detail oriented, follows procedures & should have Ability to multi-task - Ability to work at a fast pace & Flexible work scheduleBrief Overview of the role:Person having relevant experience & expertise in footwear category management with focus on Local product development from concept to production for all genders. Lead the assignment category management from 360-degree overview and taking ownership of the GM deliverables.Roles & Responsibilities:• Drive and further build the category PAN India• Season range planning and assortment building with experience in range development with India factories• Candidate needs to possess skills to lead the product development & buying requirement with Local sourcing team• Understand the dynamics of each business – Retail, MBO, Distribution & Ecommerce to strengthen the business• Support in new Product development for key channels / partners• Sell through & Mark down management• Agreed GM% deliverables for the category• Conducting season product conference / partner presentations• Planning for End of season sale along with Buying Manager• Ownership of managing season deliveries for the respective category• Creating season buy forms / assortment building & catalogues for each channel• Perform periodic in-depth analysis w.r.t store performance at region & store grade, category level, gender level, style & size level• Supporting Marketing calendar and key marketing initiatives for season• Conducting Product training and building product knowledge within store staff
